5 Places to Get Your Fall On!

Ah...the smell of Pumpkin Spice is in the air. Today marks the first day of Fall! Flannels, pumpkin carving, chilly days, falling leaves, the best parts of Fall are endless!

Fall is a beautiful season. (Not to mention Halloween is coming and that's my FAVORITE holiday!) There are so many fun things to do this time of year. Whether you're looking to make new traditions or carry on old ones, here are 5 places to go to to enjoy all of what Fall has to offer!

(If you live in the Chicago-land area)

1. Kuipers Family Farm

Known for their HUGE apple orchard, multiple kid friendly activities, full size bakery and barn store (their famous fresh made donuts are to DIE for), pumpkin patch AND beer garden, this is a place the whole family can enjoy. Not to mention the scenery is amazing for photos! I suggest trying the apple cider slushie and some homemade fudge...you won't be disappointed.

PS....Kuipers holds weddings now! If you're looking for a Fall wedding...this may be your spot!

Located in Maple Park IL.

2. Sonny Acres Farm

This has been a family favorite of ours since my brother and I were little (that's like over 20 years). Sonny Acres has everything from Halloween gift shop, pumpkin farm, sweets shop (funnel cakes stand....yes....funnel cakes stand), spook houses and their famous HAUNTED HAYRIDE! Let the tractor driver take you through the haunted forest and get spooked by all monsters and haunted things living in the dark! This place is perfect for some October fun to get you in the spirit for Halloween!

Located in West Chicago IL.

3. Bengston's Pumpkin Fest

Bengston's makes it easy to enjoy Fall activities even have gatherings and parties! Plan a group outing or plan a field trip for the kids at school! From pony rides, huge fun slides, the haunted barn, gemstone mining, pumpkin picking, yumy treats, there are endless things to do at Bengston's. Also, enjoy discounted admission during the week!

One of my all time favorite things to do in the Fall is go to haunted houses. I don't know why, it must be my die-hard love for all things Halloween. I've been to SO many haunted houses over the past 10 years I couldn't pick just one. So here is a list of the top haunted houses to get super scared at in Illinois! (PS....if you are your boyfriend/girlfriend are bored of the same old date night, this is a sure fire way to spice things up!)

NOTE....do not attend haunted houses if you are easily scared, hate scary movies or have anxiety or are uncomfortable in small spaces!

5. Color Me Mine

If you're tired of the same old Fall routine, try something new and go to Color Me Mine! Color Me Mine is a fun place to relax and get your creative juices flowing.
